WORLDWIDE- PROJECT HANDCLASP
Since the inception of Project Handclasp in 1959, the U.S. Navy has been distributing humanitarian, educational, and goodwill material overseas on a space-available basis in U.S. Navy ships to disadvantaged people in foreign countries around the world. Materials are distributed by U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel on behalf of American citizens to needy people overseas. Project Handclasp plays a vital role in enabling the Navy to carry out its mission of fostering peace and goodwill by promoting international friendship and trust; and the Hydraid® BioSand Water Filters is the number one requested item by Navy personnel. A donation to Project Handclasp will put pallets of filters in Navy ships going to places where safe water is needed and where the Navy together with local non-profit and government contacts will install them.

If you would like to make a tax deductable donation toward Hydraid® filters for Project Handclasp, please make your donation directly to Project Handclasp and designate 'Hydraid Filters' - 100% of your designated proceeds will go toward filters. Mail your designated checks to:

We maintain close contact with a number of important non-profit organizations to extend and enhance our capacities to deliver safe water solutions to those in need. A World Health Organization cost-benefit analysis showed that every $1 invested in improved drinking water and sanitation can yield economic benefits of from $4 to $34, depending on the region (Source: Water for Life: Making it Happen 2005, World Health Organization and United Nations Children’s Fund).

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Good Samaritan Hospital is located in La Romana, Dominican Republic and is a best in class hospital institution focused on poor Haitian workers who come to the DR to work in plantations and have horrible living conditions. This program helps bring safe water to Haitians in the DR. Supporting this program ensures the access of safe water to people in need. Also there are numerous opportunities for trips to go down and visit the hospital and help install filters. Learn more by contacting the Safe Water Team at contact@safewaterteam.org

Please help bring hope to those in Haiti living in Batays in Dominican Republic by donating directly to www.safewaterteam.org and designating 'Hydraid Filters-DR'

GHANA
There are opportunities developing in Ghana and other areas of Africa. Email Contact@SafeWaterTeam.org for more information on projects in Ghana.

HAITI
Haiti had a water problem long before the earthquake hit. Now, with much of Haiti's national capitol destroyed, it has become a massive task to rebuild the city and provide safe water solutions to those in need. Safe water is a key element of the redevelopment story especially now in the face of a Cholera epidemic. The first 300 Hydraid® BioSand filters were installed in the Port-au-Prince area during the kick-off trip right after the earthquake. Thank you to all who supported this effort. We have exceeded our initial goal of supplying 1,000 filters to Haiti. With the help of your donations, we can continue to rebuild Haiti.

Please help bring hope and healing to Haiti by donating directly to www.thirstingtoserve.org and designating 'Haiti' - 100% of your designated donation will go to support this project.

HONDURAS
We envision in Honduras a sustainable approach by working with local entrepreneurs. The designated donation to Thirsting to Serve goes towards subsidizing the cost to the end users and developing a long term sustainable model. This happens through a partnership with non-profit, governmental and non-governmental organizations that will help subsidize the cost of the filters. This unique partnership maximizes and extends the reach of the partner organizations and has the potential to eradicate poverty as well as the major cause of death in developing countries, which is waterborne illness and water-related disease.

Please help bring hope to Honduras by donating directly to www.thirstingtoserve.org and designating 'Honduras Distribution Center' - 100% of your designated proceeds will go to support this project.

HONDURAS AND UGANDA
Flood the Nations www.floodthenations.org raises funds to purchase, deliver, and install Hydraid® BioSand Water Filters in Honduras and Uganda.  In partnership with Health and Humanitarian Outreach Projects (HHOP) and Triple Quest, Flood the Nations sends volunteer teams to install the units in rural areas in Honduras and Uganda, where unsafe drinking water leaves many children sick and without hope. Through Flood the Nations’ Mission Water Project, we are able to provide safe water and hope for a healthy future. This opportunity provides them the chance for life, a better education and a way out of poverty. Flood the Nations works with local governments and organizations that support and sustain our projects for long-term success.

You can help by donating directly to www.missionwaterproject.org and designating 'Hydraid BioSand Filters'.

TANZANIA
The District Commissioner in the Prime Minister's Office in Tanzania and Global Sustainable Partnerships, Inc. (GSP), signed a letter of intent on March 8, 2011 to collaborate to install over 3,600 filters throughout 138 primary and secondary schools with 2250 classrooms -- which will impact over 103,000 children and 1400 teachers in the Arumeru District of Tanzania.  The initial 30 Hydraid® filters  have been installed in 10 Tanzanian primary and secondary schools.  The presence  of the filters means that more than 8,000 students and teachers now have long-term access to safe drinking water while at school.  And that means we’re helping to lift the enormous burden of diarrheal disease and other life-threatening illnesses caused by lack of access to clean water at these schools.

Please help continue bring clean water and access to clean water to Tanzanian school children by donating directly to www.globalsustainablepartnerships.com.  100% of your designated proceeds will go to support this project.
